Principal's Message

Hallettsville High School Students, Staff, Parents, and Residents,

Welcome to another new school year. The 2023-24 school year promises to be a great one. I would like to take this opportunity to say I am honored and very excited to be your High School Principal. Hallettsville Independent School District is one of the finest school districts in the great state of Texas. I have learned the tradition of excellence that exists is due to the wonderful people of our community and the hard work of our students and staff.

First and foremost, I am a husband and father. My wife Sarah and I have two children, Mason (3), and Ty (1). We moved to the area nine years ago and love it more each day.

I truly believe in a quality and comprehensive education for all students. Hallettsville is known not only for its academic excellence and extracurricular programs, but also for the positive relationships between staff and students. I understand the responsibility that you have entrusted in the HHS staff and me to care for the young people of this community.

My mission as your High School Principal is to maintain and grow a rigorous teaching and learning environment that provides every student with a sense of belonging while helping students to grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially. It is critical to every student’s success that they graduate from high school with the habits of mind and skills necessary to pursue and achieve their goals and dreams.

At HHS we understand that excellence in schools requires a partnership with our community. We encourage parent volunteers and quality relationships with the business of the Hallettsville area. Furthermore, we are encouraging school-community relations including an emphasis on clear communication with parents and all stakeholders. We understand that parents’ most prized possession is their children and the communication process between teachers, administrators, and parents is vital to student success.

There is much for students to be excited about when they return on Thursday, August 17th. Hallettsville High School has added new instructional rooms, a new teacher’s workroom and a career and technology center. This is due in part to housing the largest student body and staff in our school’s history.

Finally, I want to wish everyone a great school year!

Go Brahmas!

Principal,
